Hello friends! I’m so excited to share a fun LOFT try-on session today! My mom and I had a fun morning shopping the new spring collection at our local Loft store in Brea, CA. If you go to the same location to shop, mention my name and you will receive an additional 15% off your purchase!
I brought my mom along because not only is she my favorite person to shop with, but she has a totally different body type than me so I thought it would be helpful to show how the clothes fit each of us. She also works in an office with a dress code, so her wardrobe is a bit more professional than mine. She tried on some really cute workwear pieces that she ended up bringing home with her.
It’s been awhile since I shopped at LOFT and I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I must say- I was pleasantly surprised by how everything fit me. I have a bit of a curvier build now that I’ve had two kids, and have about a 50% success rate when shopping online. I’m not lying when I tell you almost everything fit me perfectly! There was only two tops that I didn’t like on myself (super cute on the hangers, though!) and that’s only because I was a bit too busty for the tops.
Sizing
My usual sizing info: I’m 5’6”, Sz M, 28 or 29 in jeans, size 6-8 in dresses
My mom is 5’8”, Sz XS, 26 in jeans, 0-2 in dresses
Everything we tried was TTS. I tried a medium in everything except for one top, which was a small. The medium would have fit, but it fit oversized and they only had a small in stock (I’ll specify below). My mom tried smalls on in a couple of things and needed XS. I would say things definitely don’t run small, if anything, they are a little forgiving with sizing.
Spring + Easter Dresses
First up, they had a really cute selection of spring dresses that would be perfect for Easter! I loved everything I tried on and was really happy about the fit, comfort and quality of each dress.
Floral Lacy Strappy Swing Dress (Me: M; Mom: XS) So flattering and comfy! Would be cute dressed down with a denim jacket or dressed up for a baby shower or brunch with a heeled sandal. This came home with both of us.
Floral Tie Neck Swing Dress (Me: M petite; Mom: XS) The print is so pretty in person! It reminded me of a folksy fairytale. This came home with both of us.
Floral Square Neck Midi Dress (Sz. M) Fun length and very flowy. It was fun to wear and would be totally perfect for Easter service at church. I would wear it with a wedge sandal. You could also wear it with a denim jacket and booties. So cute!
