Supplies you will need:
- One apple (cut in half)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Paper and printable (if you choose to use it)
- Colored pencils, markers, pens, crayons, etc.
- Orange paint
- Paintbrush (I used foam but any paintbrush should do)
- Googly eyes
- Brown, orange or green pipe cleaners
Instructions:
- Print out the free template by scrolling to the bottom of this email and clicking the download button.
- Write your child’s name in block letters and let them color in with Autumn colors (or whatever colors they like!)
- Write their age and the date in the wreath at the bottom of the page.
- Cut the apple in half and paint the inside of it orange using the foam paintbrush.
- Use the apple as a stamp and place it on the paper. Use the paintbrush to fill in any big areas where the paint didn’t transfer.
- Let dry.
- Cut brown or orange pipe cleaners into 1″ “stems” and glue to the top of the pumpkin. you can also do a curly-q leaf if you’re feeling fancy!
- Glue googly eyes to the front of the pumpkin,
- Sit back and admire your toddler’s amazing creative ability.
I found this AWESOME craft kit at Target that includes most of supplies necessary for this activity. It’s less than $25 and is so cool! I linked it below in case you’re interested in adding it to your drive up order!
I’m also linking the file folder I use to store all of my kids art projects. I pre-labeled it from birth-college so I can their important/noteworthy projects like report cards, school photos, artwork, etc. organized and then hand it off to them when they go off on their own!
