Those of you who know me know that I am a bit of an organization and clean freak! I know it sounds crazy, but I actually enjoy doing laundry. It’s kind of therapeutic for me! I also hate when my house is messy and need a clutter-free environment or it drives me nuts!
Back in March at the beginning of quarantine, I was around 8 months pregnant and in full-on nesting mode. With both my pregnancies, nesting hit me hard and very early on. I’m talking first trimester early. I would get really stressed out thinking about all the things that needed to be cleaned and spent a lot of time trying to convince my husband to help me with projects around the house and help me move furniture so I could clean underneath it. I organized every drawer, cupboard, closet and pantry in site. Nothing was safe!
To keep myself somewhat sane, I created this cleaning schedule that I found really helpful. I found that it was very fairly easy to keep a clean house if I accomplished just a little bit each day. Since I was really pregnant and really tired, it made laundry and cleaning much more manageable! I appreciate it even more now that I have two little ones because I can squeeze in some cleaning here and there before the kiddos wake up, at nap time and after the kids go to bed. I even enlist Wyatt to help me out… man that kid loves to clean! I think I may have rubbed off on him some 🙂
