I’ve started to design some spaces in our new home! We’ve selected our flooring, kitchen backsplash, countertops and cabinets so I’m working on designing our kitchen and dining rooms first. The layout of the new house is very open, and the kitchen, dining room and main living room are all in one big space so I want to make sure everything “flows” and is cohesive. I included all of the tile/flooring/countertop specifications that I could!
I love interior design and decorating so this has been so fun for me. I’m a big fan of mood boards because I think they can really help with the visualization of a space. I want to make sure everything flows together and to get an overall “feel” for the space. I’m a very visual person and seeing everything together helps me feel so much more organized!
We are starting to buy some furniture and light fixtures because there are some pretty long shipping delays. If we order now, some things won’t even arrive until April! We close in February, so we are trying to get as much as we can ASAP. We may have to sit on lawn chairs for awhile but that’s OK. Ha!
